Emergency Lighting and Exit Signs

It's not just a good thing to do - It's the law. National Electronic Code (NEC) and the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) both require that all public buildings be equipped with a minimum of 90 minutes of egress lighting in the event of an emergency. In fact, some places even require two hours of egress lighting. These systems are so important they are usually one of the first systems installed and commissioned during a new building's construction. And if you are a building supervisor, you could be asked to produce testing and maintenance records for your emergency lighting systems at any time. Failure to produce these records could result in the shutdown of your building, your business, your livelihood.

Knowing this, are you in compliance? When is the last time you have tested or maintained your emergency lighting equipment?

UniPower knows and understands the federally mandated codes and can design a maintenance program to keep you in compliance. We run monthly tests, with full system evaluations annually. An asset management check list ensures nothing is overlooked. and written reports are readily available to verify testing and maintenance procedures.

For a complimentary test of your building's emergency lighting system, contact us online or call us at 888-822-4767. For more on specific products visit our online power store.
